One of the things I miss most about being from a place that experiences seasons is fall. Not winter, mind you, especially now that my blood is much thinner! I do have to say, though, that I only like it for a few weeks. Hayrides are great!
The Commodore, on the other hand, misses every minute of fall like crazy. I think it’s just because of all the pumpkin items he loves to eat, honestly. Did you know Coffeemate has Pumpkin Spice creamer all year long now? (Don’t get it if you’re Keto- it’s got sugar! Scroll down for a great Keto recipe for it!)
Even though you can get canned pumpkin all year round it seems we still wait until fall to make anything with it! I’ve got a lot of Keto Pumpkin Recipes for Fall below – 65 of them – but don’t wait until then! You have permission to make anything you want, whenever you want. Go July!!

Pumpkins Speak the Language of Fall
I love when the seasons change! Crisp air, crunchy leaves, long sleeves – and the air just smells cleaner. Keep in mind this is from the perspective of a country girl. I can’t speak to my city cousins impressions of the change but I hope they have a similar experience!
It’s fall! It’s pumpkin season!
The Commodore absolutely loves fall and any food that’s pumpkin related. He was way ahead of Starbucks with their pumpkin spiced latte!
I don’t buy overpriced coffee – even one that contains pumpkin spice- since a can of coffee from the grocery store lasts me for weeks. I’m all about the budget, as you know. Just like everyone else that’s on a budget, I have some things I compromise on and some I don’t.
This post isn’t about coffee, though – it’s all about pumpkin and some awesome Keto Pumpkin Recipes for Fall. Pumpkin is perfect for those yummy baked goods and savory soups – and those pies and custards.
While The Commodore loves to eat foods containing pumpkin I have a much lower tolerance. That being said – I LOVE the pumpkin spice scent. We both get our way when I buy this candle and make him all the pumpkin food he likes!
Can I Have Pumpkin on Keto and Low Carb?
This is going to be a completely personal choice. Pumpkin is classified as a starch but it is lower in net carbs than other winter squash varieties.
Pumpkin clocks in at 3.5 net carbs (and 15 calories) for 1/2 cup of raw pumpkin while canned pumpkin has 6 net carbs (42 calories) for 1/2 cup. A half-cup of COOKED mashed pumpkin has about 25 calories with just under 5 net carbs.
Take into consideration, as well, the number of servings in your recipe and the amount of pumpkin in it. It’s all about portions.
How Do I Prepare Pumpkin for These Recipes? Canned or Fresh Pumpkin?
I’m sure you’ve seen canned pumpkin in all the stores. My favorite of those is Libby’s – canned pumpkin, not pumpkin pie mix. (Libby’s has 50 calories per half-cup with 7 net carbs according to their label).
If you get some whole pumpkins after Halloween when the prices drop, you can cook it yourself and freeze in half-cup portions so you have it all year long!
Reserve those seeds for salting and roasting for a crunchy snack.

Keto Pumpkin Recipes for Fall
You can find MANY more sweet pumpkin recipes than savory ones so you’ll see a heavy bent towards the sweets here. Since I live in a dry area prone to ants coming inside the house to find water, I keep all my baked goods in the fridge. I know it may not make them taste as fresh but it beats an ant buffet.
The Commodore is thrilled that I have 65 Keto Pumpkin Recipes for Fall all in one post so I no longer have an excuse to not make a bunch for him all year long!
